 | About Our Dojo |
Aikido of Houston is a traditional Aikido Dojo in a
Japanese setting with Japanese straw mats (tatami). The size of the dojo is 33
tatami. The instructor is T.K. Lee, 6th Dan, a direct student of Yoshimitsu Yamada, Sensei, 8th Dan of the
United States Aikido Federation -
Eastern Region. Yoshimitsu Yamada is a direct disciple of the
Founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba.
We follow the teachings of the Ueshiba Family of
Hombu Dojo at 17-18 Wakamatsu-Cho in the Shinjuku District of Tokyo,
through our Sensei, Yoshimitsu Yamada.
Aikido of Houston is located in Northwest Houston at
6304 West Little York Road, Suite 106 and has been at this location for
over 25
years (since
1981).

| Instruction
T.K. Lee Sensei is the chief instructor at Aikido
of Houston. He places a great deal of emphasis on basic movement
with a great deal of individual attention tailored to the needs and
abilities of each student.

Houston, Texas where it has been for over 20 years. Lee Sensei
teaches most classes personally and provides a great deal of individual
attention.

 | Aikido of Temple: Class is held at 403
Lusk Creek Road, Eddy, Texas, 76524. Classes are currently only held
on Tuesday evenings. The chief instructor is Mark Jessup, 3rd Dan.

| HP Aikido Club of Houston: This is an
Aikido Club at Hewlett-Packard in Houston, formerly known as the ACE
Aikido Club. It has been on the
Houston Campus since 1994 and, as far as we know is the
only Aikido Club sponsored by a major corporation. Classes are during lunch every
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The club president is
Jeff Hilland. Unfortunately, due to the restraints placed
on the club by HP, members must also be HP employees. |

| Aikido of Amarillo: Practice is
held at Amarillo College.
Classes are conducted Thursday and Friday, 7-9 PM. The instructor is
